I’m Ashley.

I like art. So much so, that I do it sometimes somewhat.

I want to be part of the credits of a feature length animated movie. I’ve had this goal since watching Spirited Away Directed by Hayao Miyazaki back in 2003.

Currently working on honing my skills so that I can confidently tell the IRS that I am a Visual Development Artist. I’ve spent the last few years trying to continuously enrich myself through following recruiters, companies I’m interested in being employed by someday, and artists. I envision this boastful relationship I have with an industry I’m not fully incorporated into yet with the ambition of a child with floaties eyeing the deep end and wanting to jump in but being too hesitant. However, I’ve reached a point where I have realized that I am not a deep end diving type. I am comfortably okay with easing in from the stairs and clinging onto the edge of the pool and wading where I fit in.
